Baby Sarah's Weight & Height - Month 18

After almost 4 months "break" from the visit to the doctor to get Sarah's vaccination done, we thought she would have so-called forgotten about the "agony" she went through when she got her jabs.

Well, we thought wrong! During the last visit, she cried only when she saw the needle. This time, she held me so tightly and cried her lungs out the moment she saw the doctor. In fact, when the doctor's room door was open, she ran away. So, I had to "catch her" and carry her in. She cried when the doctor and nurse wanted to get the measurement of her height & head circumference. She just wouldnt stay still and with all her might, she tried to free herself from being held. Well, she must have really hated the doctor. In fact, she doesnt like any doctor at all. Everytime we visit a doctor when she's not well, she would cry and just wanted us to get out of there a.s.a.p!

OK... so finally she got her 1st boosterTriple/Hib/Polio jab. It took daddy, mummy and the nurse to really pin her down so that the doctor could quickly jab her and get it done. So, yes... because she was really crying her lungs out, doctor gave her more free gifts. Hahaha... I guess, normally the doctor would just give some sachets of milk powder samples to his patients but this time, doctor gave Sarah a free bag from Huggies as well so to cool her down. She immediately stopped crying when she got those freebies in her hands.

Month 18 (15 September 2009)

Weight=11.5kg (+0.61kg)

Height=85cm (+6cm)

Head circumference=45.4cm (+0.9cm)

Baby Sarah's Weight & Height - Month 13

Last night, Sarah got her 4th & final vaccination for pneumococcal.

We were supposed to be there on the 16th according to the doctor to get both her pneumococcal (bacteria) jab & chicken pox (virus) jab. Unfortunately, we went there last night due to convenience & found out that the reason he made the appointment date on 16th was because Sarah had her virus jab last month and we needed to wait for a month before she gets another virus jab (chicken pox) so that both vaccines wont clash with each other. Well, I guess the doctor knows best. So, since virus jab & bacteria jab don't clash, she got the pneumococcal jab this month & we'll wait for another month to get her the chicken pox jab.

So, for the record...

Month 13 (14 April 2009)
Weight=10.41kg (+0.29kg)
Height=77.5cm (+2cm)
Head circumference=44.5cm (+0.1cm)

Baby Sarah's Weight & Height - Month 12

Last night was Sarah's first visit (after her first birthday) to Dr Khoo to get her Measles/mumps/rubella jab. We were excited as parents to go check out her weight & height too. Hahaha!

Month 12+ (19 March 2009)
Weight=10.12kg (+1.62kg (after 6mths))
Height=75.5cm (+5.5cm)
Head circumference=44.4cm (+2.9cm)

She didn't gain as much weight as last time because she is actively walking and developing her other muscles in her body. So, no... she is not overweight (even though she still has michelin arms...) Hehehe...

She is growing healthily. Doctor says she is following her growth chart and that was important.

Baby Sarah's Weight & Height - Month 6

Last night baby Sarah went to get her third and final Rotavirus vaccination. After this visit, the next would be after her first birthday (WOW! Time flies!!) to get her Measles/mupms/rubella jab.

Month 6 (16 September)
Weight=8.66kg (+0.26kg)
Height=67.5cm (+1cm)
Head circumference=41.5cm (+1cm)

Month 6+ (7 October)
Weight=8.5kg (-0.16kg)
Height=70cm (+2.5cm)
Head circumference=41.5cm (+0cm)

Her weight started decreasing when she had diarrhoea attack mid last month, but then again, it wasn't a surprise that her weight continued to go down a little bit since she is such an active kid! She has a nickname now "moh sii thin"... it's the word for "non-stop" in hakka dialect... hahaha :D


Notice that almost all her pictures are slightly blur :p
We just cant take proper shots of her on the move. She's way tooooo fast! Hubby said need a better camera to take her pictures!

Baby Sarah's Weight & Height - Month 5

Baby Sarah did not need to go for her normal checkup and vaccination during her 5th month, but we went to visit the doctor anyway to get her Rotavirus & Pneumococcal vaccination.

So, for the record...

Month 4+ (29 July)
Weight=7.82kg (+0.44kg)
Height=63.4cm (+0.4cm)
Head circumference=40cm (+0cm)

Month 5+ (2 Sept)
Weight=8.4kg (+0.58kg)
Height=66.5cm (+3.1cm)
Head circumference=40.5cm (+0.5cm)
Check out the sudden increase in her height! Yes, i noticed she actually looked taller suddenly at one point! :)

Later tonight, we will visit the doctor for her 3rd Hepatitis B vaccination, and her third Pneumococcal vaccination jab.
Lord Jesus, we pray for Your divine protection upon baby Sarah. Minimise the pain and grant her comfort during this time. We pray for Your special touch upon her little being - In Jesus' name we pray, Amen!

Baby Sarah's Weight & Height - Month 4

Month 4 (15 July)
Weight=7.38kg (+0.7kg)
Height=63cm (+2cm)
Head circumference=40cm (+1.2cm)

Sarah turned 4 months old yesterday! A chubby kid is she. Many uncles & aunties (including daddy & mummy) loves to "cubit" (pinch) her cheeks! hehehe... Dr Khoo also said "Iyoh..." while holding her michelinny arms. What a funny sight! :D

I personally don't think that she was over-eating. Dr says she's not overweight as both her weight and height are growing according to the chart, except that her head circumference was 25% less than it should be (following the size of her body that is), but it's a small matter.

Baby Sarah's Weight & Height - Month 3

Month 3 (17 June)
Weight=6.68kg (+0.85kg)
Height=61cm (+2.5cm)
Head circumference=38.8cm (+1.8cm)

That was a month ago's measurement. Later tonight, we'll be bringing her to see her doctor again for another measurement and jab.... 2 jabs this round. Praying that she'll be strong!

Baby Sarah's Weight & Height - Month 0-2

At birth (15 March)
Weight=2.95kg
Height=50cm
Head circumference=31cm

Month 1 (15 April)
Weight=4.51kg (+1.56kg)
Height=53.5cm (+3.5cm)
Head circumference=35.5cm (+4.5cm)

Month 2 (13 May)
Weight=5.83kg (+1.32kg)
Height=58.5cm (+5cm)
Head circumference=37cm (+1.5cm)

Doctor says she's doing fine... Praise the Lord! She's not overweight, because her height has increased and it gives a balance! :)
