[+video] Little Sarah's on the go (at a fast pace... literally!!)

I took this video of her a week before I went to PD... whenever I thought of her, I would play this video and laugh/smile to myself like "orang gila". Hehehe... She's such an active cutie pie! Love u so much, Sarah! Hope hubby don't get too jealous. Hehehe... Sshhhh.... :)

Friends in church who saw this video of her couldn't somehow believe that it is really the little girl who seems sooooo "goody-good" and quiet in church every week. Hahaha! They thought wrong! :) Most of the time she's a lil sleepy by the time we get to church on Sundays because I had to wake her up from her slumber, get her all dressed up and ready for church!

So.... TA-DA! Presenting to you.... my little princess! :)

[+video] I'm back!

Yes, I'm back! :D

But before I share a little about the convention, let me first share a little about the apple of my eye. I'm truly joyful beyond words to see her again and talking about hugging, kissing & squeezing... yes, i did all that already! Hehehe... I'm glad to hear also that she's been behaving well the past few days when I wasn't around. Hubby said she was naughtier with me around... hmmm.... He said that she was acting more "manja" too... She glued to me like a magnet during the night.... but I love that feeling, so... no complaints about that! Hehehe...

Let's see.... while I was away, she learned a new word... (sounds like "da-da" for "daddy"... maybe :))

Thank u, dada, for taking good care of girl in my absence. You're a great dada! Love u much! *muacks*

It's my church Convention this week...

Yeah, it's been 3 days now since my "first physical separation" with little Sarah. :(

My church convention in Port Dickson started on Monday, and will last through till Thursday... (yeah, that's why you've seen less of me these few days... err... blogging and online i mean... :))

The story was... Hubby will not be attending the convention this year. I, on the other hand, will be attending, also due to some duties that I need to carry out. I was intending to bring little Sarah with me and have my mum take care of her, but later on felt mum may not be able to handle as she has never really taken care of girl fulltime... and what would happen if I'm not available for girl as I may get too busy with my duties. I know I would be missing her so very much, yet I also know that it would be worst if I had missed taking care of her well being in my busy-ness. I felt then that that's the best decision I could make for now.

This morning hubby called me. I'm glad to hear his voice and glad to also know that little Sarah's fine. She did not look for me during her day time activities... even when daddy comes home from work alone. It was only when comes to sleeping time that she started looking for me. She's pretty much attach to me during the night. Recently, we practise going up to bed at the time WE want and if she's not yet sleepy, we will let her play by herself in the room until she's tired (most times, it's about after half an hour or so). That method seemed to work for the past one week. Hubby decided to continue that same method while I was away in PD. I heard that it didn't work this round for the past two nights. Instead, she kept looking at the very spot I sleep, looking for mummy. She cried when she didn't see me. Hubby carried her up and again, she kept turning to the bed... but no, mummy was no where near her. My heart melted when I heard that. O, I miss her so...

So many uncles & aunties asking where's my little girl. Some from other branches were hoping to see her too but every question is answered with me saying how much I missed her.

Well, time flies... it's already the last night and tomorrow, I will see hubby dearest and little princess again. Can't wait for that moment to come... I will surely hug her, kiss her, squeeze her when I see her...

So that's all from me for now...

[+video] Little Sarah's night activity...

Yes, daddy was sleeping soundly... and u can hear the clock ticking at the background... mummy here decided to take a short video clip of little Sarah's night activities. If she's not rocked to sleep in the sarong before putting her down to sleep on the bed, she'll be actively moving about on the bed until she gets tired on her own.

Sunday morning at 3am till 4+ was one of the longest night... even for me. And this morning... she was acting up like an owl again. This time it wasn't so bad because it was only about 12.30mn!

[+video] Leg exercise...

One of the activities that keep little Sarah busy in the car...

[+video] the Cousins: Sarah & Reanne

Two gals... two personalities... even from this short clip, you can tell the personalities of these 2 little princesses... :)

OK... after watching it... we can now say that Sarah is the kind who won't-let-go-of-whatever-she-gets-in-her-hands... determine? Hmm... also looks like the kind that doesn't bother what takes place around her so long as she gets what she wants. Is that good? Well, we pray that she will use her gifts wisely! :)

On the other hand, Reanne seemed like a person who is focus... and "safe". She doesn't mind "letting go" if it would mean playing safe. She's very gentle and I believe she will grow to be a feminine fine lady! Oh... and one thing's for sure... she'll go ALL OUT (literally) for the camera! She'll probably be an actress or a performer one day... just like her ah ee! :)

A weekend in Sg Congkak

"Cool, crystal-clear water, roaring rapids and a cascading river are the highlights of the Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest. There is also a rich diversity of flora and fauna."

Sg Congkak is located in the district of Hulu Langat. On 1st November, ie 2 Saturdays ago, the family went for a short retreat to this forest. We were there late afternoon, but it wasn't sunny... like every other day because shaded by trees everywhere. The only difference would be... whether or not we'll find a good spot to rest our butts. Well, praise God we did! Hehehe... The family outing was also to celebrate MIL's birthday and my belated one (i tumpang saje! :p)

Little Sarah's first experience in the river waters...
Her first impression of it... *blur*
Secondly, she kinda got used to it... so she started kicking the waters, until MIL asked to take off her diapers so she can go "deeper". She cried immediately when her feet touched the waters. I guess it was too cold for her too, and her body's reacting towards it, screaming at us, adults, "Enough is enough! I don't wanna get a cold after this!" Geez... i'm learning. Hehehe...
... and here's Ivan enjoying his time in the waters! It was fun to see... :)

Yeh-yeh & Nai-nai taking care of the 3 grandchildren while the other 2 couples "syiok sendiri" take photos here and there. :p

Here are some of the "syiok sendiri" photos...
The "konon-lah outdoor-wedding-shots" poses... hehehe... with the help of the tripod + remote control!

Wanna know what does the phrase "mati katak" look like? kekeke...

Spirulina benefits... in short! :)

During a conversation with hubby...

Me: Do u know what's the benefit of spirulina?

He: Err... don't know...

Me: You didn't read about it in my blog?
:o

He: No....

Me: Why not?!!

He: Article's too long ler..... so what's the benefit???
:p

I cant blame him for his replies... because I'll say the same too! Hehe... if you ask me again about the benefits, I would have to think and think and think and finally come up with a reply that goes like this: All I know is... it's good... so just eat it!!! :p

OK OK... and so for this reason and for the benefit of those who may have thought like us... here's a summary on the benefits of spirulina...

1. High source of protein - 12-15 times more protein than steak and is 5 times easier to digest than meat or soy protein
2. Vitamin B12 - an excellent addition to the vegetarian diet!
3. Vitamin A & Vitamin E
4. Health-enhancing amino acids
5. Gamma-lioleic acid (GLA) - a fatty acid that promotes cardiovascular health
6. Chelated forms of potassium, calcium, magnesium, zinc, selenium, phosphorus and iron
7. Chlorophyll (green) and phycocyanin (blue) pigments - proven to help detoxify the liver
8. Best known for its ability to boost the immune system, and research indicates it may even help both treat and prevent cancer.
9. Stimulates the natural killer (NK) cells that fight illness and attack and kill cancerous cells.

So, in other words, we can summarize the benefits of spirulina with just 3 words:
CLEANSING, RESTORING & FORTIFYING
(hehe... clear enough?! :))

Do you have time to PRAY?

If you have time to worry about IT....
... you would have time to PRAY about IT!

I received this word many many years ago (when i was still in school) - written by a dear friend of mine on a birthday card. I still kept it prettily and safely in my card box! Thx Michiko! :)

Many times, again and again, these words will come as a reminder to me of the power through prayer. The storms in life seem so big and distract me from knowing that this power DO exist. Today, there is again this reminder that I need to spend time praying instead of worrying about IT.

So, how about U?

[Knowledge: Baby] Playtime for Babies - Month 8

At week 29:
Get together with other parents who have babies the same age as yours and arrange a toy swap. If you belong to a playgroup, you already have the perfect setup for a trade. Your baby will love exploring and playing with new toys - and they won't cost you a penny, or a trip to the toy store.

At week 30:
Help your baby develop her newly acquired sitting skill. Sit on the floor to play games and talk with her. (Hint: Place pillows around her in case she goes over.) Roll a ball back and forth between the two of you and, when you need a break, let her bang pots and pans together. Ah, the sweet clamor of child's play!

At week 31:
Set up an obstacle course so your baby can test his mobility skills. Try a couple of pillows from the couch, an empty cereal box, a paper-towel tube and a few stuffed animals. If he becomes frustrated or stuck, gently help him along.

At week 32:
Help your baby develop her abilities. Place a toy just out of her reach and let her try to get it. She may become frustrated when she can't quite reach it. Let her keep trying. Succeeding at this game will help her build confidence.

[Knowledge: Baby] Playtime for Babies - Month 7

At week 25:
Introduce your baby to the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" song. While he faces you, sing the song and follow the finger play:

"The itsy bitsy spider went up the waterspout (walk your fingers up his tummy)
Down came the rain (tap your fingers lightly on his chest)
And washed the spider out (wave your hands in front of his face)
Up came the sun (form a circle with your hands and move it upward)
And dried up all the rain (tap your fingers lightly on his chest, as before)"

At week 26:
You can reinforce your baby's growing understanding of cause and effect while she's in the bathtub. Show her that a cup can be filled with water and then emptied, and then demonstrate how several small cups can be filled from one bigger one. Once she's hooked on this activity, you may have a budding chemist on your hands!

At week 27:
Introduce your baby to the "Sooo Big" game. Sit facing each other, holding hands. Ask him, "How big is baby?" Then, take his arms and extend them out to each side and say, "Sooo big!" He'll be thrilled to play this game over and over and will progress to putting his arms out on his own before you know it.

At week 28:
Play "Pop Goes the Weasel." Sit your baby on your lap and sing:

"All around the mulberry bush the monkey chased the weasel
The monkey thought it was all in fun... pop goes the weasel!"

Throughout the song rock your little one back and forth, and when you reach the end, bounce her gently on the word "pop." You can also try this holding your baby all the way up, if she can support some of her weight on her legs.

My birthday DAY :)

My birthday started off with many warm wishes through SMS-es and Facebook greetings. Thanks to my family, relatives and friends for all the great wishes! :)

We had breakfast at a nearby mamak restaurant... came afternoon, we got ourselves ready to celebrate the rest of the day. The plan, besides celebrating my birthday, was to bring our little Sarah to see a little bit more of the "world" outside. :)

It was either.... Bird Park... or Butterfly Park.... heh heh... but in the end, hubby and i decided for a "livelier" adventure... the Aquaria in KLCC! Thanks to Steff that we made this decision (if u're reading this.. thank u for introducing us to this! hehe...). I read about it in her website and told hubby about it. We thought perhaps it would be a good idea to get little Sarah (and ourselves) exposed to the underwater world! :)

We went to the Underwater World in Langkawi many years ago... this wa
s sooooooooooo much better than that... much well-maintained, much better looking... even though it may not have that many aquatic animals as I thought it would have. So guys, if you wanna consider a place for family outing or educational trip for kids (and adults too!), this is one of it!

Entrance fee is RM28/adult and RM22/children (For Malaysian citizens)
RM38/adult and RM26/children (For non-Malaysian citizens)
RM18/Senior citizens (60 and above)

Parking is RM6 per entry. Considered very cheap for KL parking :)

On the way to KLCC... Little Sarah looks tired...

... trying to reach out... for... the... camera... but.... zzzzzzzzz.....
She took a quick nap before reaching our destination.

Our destination: Aquaria
Here are some fishes....

... piranha, tortoise and some amphibians...

... hmm... looks like it's not just a place for aquatic animals!
Well, there are actually quite a number of reptiles here... and little Sarah's checkin' out on the lil' crocodile...

...and more reptiles...
hmm... are we really in Aquaria???!

An Iranian tourist couldn't resist for a picture to be taken with little Sarah...
... and Sarah was captivated by the fishes... that was nice to see... :)

This is the best part of all... the Tunnel!
Here shark, there shark... everywhere shark, shark! :p

I love this... Check out the lights shining from above the water... beautiful, aint it?
Hubby got a good shot of a shark just under it! Great job dear! :)

Our one and only family photo in this outing!
Little Sarah seemed to enjoy this outing a lot... Check out the smile on her face! :)

Oooo... what's up there??? Soooo many big fake fishes!
Err... can i touch that fish, mummy?!
Little Sarah was again captivated by the fishes... hehe... was she trying to communicate with that BIG fish? :)

"Snakes" for sale!!!
Just before we leave aquaria, we "dropped by" the souvenir section... well, not drop by (we had to walk pass it to exit! :p)
Little Sarah is always curious to touch and feel the things around her.

After Aquaria, we went to San Francisco Steakhouse for dinner in KLCC.
Oh yah... it was also Halloween that day - thus, the pumpkin head on the table for decoration purpose! Candlelight dinner? Muahahahaa! :D
Salads as starters for hubby and I... and blue bear for little Sarah!

She was actually sooooo tired after the Aquaria visit, she slept for awhile before dinner.
The main course... hubby had chicken maryland and I had their homemade tagliatelle with prawns in aglio olio style! (Yes, i took a picture of the menu so that I could spell word for word of what I had! Hahaha! :D)

After the nap, little Sarah proceeded on with her main course... which was...
Rusks Biscuit! Kekeke...
Last but not least, we had "cake of the day" as dessert!

Just before leaving for home, we dropped by the fountain for a short while... just to introduce to our girl something different to look at. :)

We had a great time!
It was a great birthday celebration with hubby and little Sarah! Yes, it was the first time with girl-girl, and we really enjoyed the time spent together.
Thank U, dear, for a great celebration... for taking the day off from work to be with me (us) on this special day... :)

p/s - Most of the pictures above were taken by hubby... these are used with permission! :p
