[News] Mum reverses car into toddler

This is such a sad sad sad case.... When I read this, I was reminded of the case with Steven Curtis Chapman's daughter. The same thing happened... :(

Mum reverses car into toddler

KUALA LUMPUR: A three-year-old girl was killed when her mother, who was driving her car out of a car park in Desa Sri Hartamas, knocked into the child who was outside the vehicle.

Isabel Cheong died on the spot after suffering head injuries when her 29-year-old mother reversed the car.

She did not notice that her child was behind the car yesterday at Jalan 25/70A, acting city traffic police chief Deputy Supt Ng Fook Long said.

“The mother only realised she had run over her child after hearing her cries. She immediately got down to check what had happened.

“Passers-by tried to help pull the child out, but by the time she was dislodged from under the car, she had died,” he said.

The body was sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a post-mortem.

News article taken from the star online.

I hope every parents, guardians, siblings... will be more careful next time. Make sure your little ones are not anywhere out of your sight, especially when you are in the car and your child is not.

YouTube: Forrest Gump (Piano Solo)

I first bumped into this music played on Chris' blogsite. I fell in love with the music immediately. It was an awesome music played. I then search for it online and found it on youtube as well.

Hope you enjoy this as much as I had. Beautiful..... :)

Coloring outside the lines...

Recently, I was reading a book entitled "Rise to Your Destiny Woman of God" by Barbara Wentroble. From the first few pages that I read, I cant forget a paragraph which writes:

I thought of those Special Olympians one day as I observed my two young granddaughters, Lindsey and Kailee, who were spending the evening at my home. They had pulled out a coloring book and crayons and were trying to outdo each other as they colored all over the pages. Rather than correct them by saying, "Slow down, girls, and stay inside the lines," I decided instead to encourage them to break out of their natural limitations. "That's the way to do it!" I said. "Get outside those lines! Make your own designs. Don't get boxed in by someone else's idea of what the picture should look like."

I thought it was interesting to think of the whole situation that way. If I were her, I guess I would have asked my granddaughters to stay inside the lines... it'll look prettier after the finishing works! :p

The paragraph continued as follows:

Although encouraging children to color outside of the lines to create their own designs may seem inconsequential, it can be a step in the right direction of fulfilling God's purpose for their lives. If someone hadn't encouraged those Special Olympics participants to "color outside the lines," they might never have realized how big they could dream or how far they could go.

Well, she's right! Hmmm... perhaps that's just the way it should be done. We encourage our children to color outside the lines! Don't limit them because they can do more than we can imagine. Surely there are bound to be some lines to follow - else, the whole world would collapse without laws! You wouldn't want to imagine the road traffics in our country alone! Even in a family unit, it is surely a need to have some lines drawn for discipline and character building. However, we have to learn that there are lines in our lives that we have drawn (for ourselves and for our children) which needs to be erased so that we can fly and soar higher than how we have imagined in our own minds.

So guys, let's encourage ourselves & our children to "color outside the lines"!

Priscilla-Anna Yeo

Check out my dear niece, Priscilla's passport photo! So cute, right??!!!!! :)
When I saw this pix, I know it has to be posted in my blog (with consent of course! hehe)

p/s - Some people says that she looks like her aunty - that's ME!
Now, how true is that? Tell me! Hehe...

[+video] Sarah, the Builder... (at Month 14)

Many times when Sarah was left alone with her toys, she actually finds things around her to play with and get creative as well. Last weekend, I had the privilege of seeing this development of hers grew to another extent, where she learns that some things are made for building/stacking.

When she was about 10-12 months old, she learned to stack cubes one on top of another. Lately, when she was exposed to "lego-like" toys, she has learned to build.

Do enjoy this video clip of Sarah, the Builder :) Her mind was totally fixed on it (except for some commercial breaks on TV that kinda took her attention away for a few seconds). Mummy and her camera seems invisible to her!

Just last night...

Last night, we went to bed at about 11.15... that is after all the washing up cuz we came back late after music practice. Sarah was still very energetic then. We switched off the lights and waited hopefully for Sarah to get the message that it is bedtime.

She played on her own for awhile but mummy was really sleepy then to entertain her. She started pulling my hair! I woke up, was furious... and hit her hand for doing so... telling her over and over that what she did was wrong. I sat up and have her sit in front of me and look at me and ask her, "You sayang mummy?"... meaning "You love mummy?"

She nodded her head, and blink blink her eyes as she did that. Such innocent look that she gave me... Then I said, "OK, sayang mummy..." Then she came near to me and hug me... :)

My heart melted... (Doi!) How to be angry and furious at such an innocent and lovable child? At that time (and many times before) I just wished that my eyes were a recording device as well so that I could play back those cute and heartwarming moments over and over and upload it into my blogsite for remembrance. :)

After some time, she managed to settle down and sleep... I think it was already past midnight then. Well... for me, it's another sleepy morning today. (:|

[+video] Upon waking up...

... she went straight for mummy's slippers! Check out her "just-woke-up" look... hehe... :)

A sad news from a friend...

It's a sad day today... Someone I know just lost her job this morning. I didn't know what happen. All that was said was... "I knew it was coming..." :(

Sometimes, we just don't know what to expect everyday. Sometimes our work seems like a routine and we take that for granted. We must thank God for His provision, especially now when times may be bad for some, let's believe that God sees us through in these moments of uncertainty.

It's a sad thing indeed, but I wish her well. That she will get a better job else where and able to get a good income for her family. God bless her.

Next stage in Parenting

When my girl started walking six months ago, to me she was a walking baby, and I'm still a mother to a lil baby, just slightly independent baby.

Today, she's parroting and talking more, making me realize that I am now a mother not to a lil baby anymore but to a toddler... one who understands many many things, one who can respond quite correctly to any situation, one who can protest when she doesn't like or want certain things, one who can make decisions in her little life!

I'm amazed at how Sarah had grown from a lil baby to a cute mischievous toddler. I know this stage of growth will surely arrive. For us parents, there's more to learn, more to understand, more to read up, more to find out, more to "experiment".

I've been an "aunty" for 4 good years. I have 2 nephews - my bro's (age 4) & my brother-in-law's (age 3). From short-term experiences to staying together (currently) with my in-laws gave me a taste of what it's like being a parent to a toddler. I know it's not easy. Perhaps, more yelling and shouting and caning... but then again, maybe not at all? Hmm... praying that wisdom and knowledge increase as both hubby & I enter this stage of parenting. God bless us! :)

What is LIFE?

Some people has so many things to say about LIFE... take wikipedia for example. I'm surprise that they've just got so much information about it. Check this out!

Forrest Gump's definition is the best:
"Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."

Quoting from an article in crosswalk, referring to the memorable quote above:
"Life is like a box of chocolates, loaded with surprises, some delightful and some downright disagreeable. The yummy ones, of course, are easy to swallow, but the yucky ones are sometimes hard to stomach."

Today, i am in a "reflective mode". Reflecting my 30 years on earth and what's it gonna be like in the next 30 years... and more! There's truly so much to think about... to plan... to organize... to hope for... to aim for... to live for. What is life to me? What is life to my family? What's my role in this God-given life i'm living? (aiyah... think so much! No wonder more and more grey hair appearing!)

So.... what does your LIFE tell? Was it meaningful? Was it worth it? What are your plans for the future?

I'm trusting God for my future.

[Article] Shopping Carts

I received an email about shopping carts, and I think I should share it here... an eye opener indeed!

Shopping carts are considered one of the most important tools for shopping in supermarkets. It helps you buy all your household, including your personal supplies, and to transfer those purchases throughout the store and car parking space.

But do you have any idea about the dangers of shopping carts?!

A study conducted in South Korea showed unexpected results about the public tools that cause contamination and transfer of bacteria. The study, conducted by the Korean Consumer Protection Board, found that handles of shopping carts in stores are the most polluted with bacteria among the objects that are frequently traded among people, and handles of public toilets are not as bad as expected.

Studies that have been conducted proved that there are 1 million germs on just one shopping cart handle.

Researchers stress that shopping carts handles are one of the most contaminated public surfaces, even dirtier than most public restrooms. The reason? Public restrooms are cleaned and disinfected regularly, but shopping carts are not. In fact, most stores clean their shopping carts only a couple of times each year.

Many consumers don’t realize the degree to which shopping carts have been exposed to bacteria and germs via sources such as meat or poultry, children while sitting in the carts and other consumers’ illnesses.

Did you know that shopping cart handles can harbor ten times more germs than almost anything else you touch during the day? Swabs taken from shopping cart handles have shown germs, viruses, bacteria and body fluids on these plastic handles.

In the meantime, with everyone touching the cart handles and babies being put into the seats, the typical shopping cart is continuously being contaminated and accumulating a startling range of germs and viruses.

To protect your self and baby from getting germs:

- Wash your hands upon completion of shopping, especially your child’s hand if he was put on the chair of shopping cart.
- Use anti-bacterial wipes to clean and disinfect the carts’ handles.

A gift from my dear...

It's his birthday today, but it was I that gotten the gift! hehe...

Dear's birthday gift to me is....

It's a Nikon Coolpix L19 (8.0 megapixels).

The person whom he bought this from ask him "Why down-grade already ar?" ... cuz he's the same guy he bought his DSLR and other lenses from. He then replied, "It's for my wife!" :)

Earlier on, i often took video of Sarah with our old Nikon Coolpix 3100 (only 3.2 megapixels) but it has no audio. Then I "upgraded" the shooting by taking it with my hp... there's audio, but video quality is bad. Hubby said now i can take better pix of Sarah whenever I'm with her and most importantly take better quality video of her (with audio too! kakaka...).

Thank dear for this gift. Blessed Birthday to you! Love you! M-uahh!

Sarah got it from mummy... :(

Two days ago Sarah caught a slight cough and flu from mummy. She only managed to go to bed around 11+ (that's when we got back), but woke up at 2+ as she seemed to have difficulty breathing due to her blocked nose. She cried and tried to get back to sleep. Daddy got the nasal drop ready in his hands but Sarah kept moving her head, even with her eyes close. It was difficult for us to apply it to her nostrils to clear the blockage. Daddy then took vicks to apply to her chest, hoping that it would keep her comfortable. We carried her upright so that she could breathe better and eventually, she went back to her slumber.

Last night, she slept through the night till this morning, though we found out there is a slight nose block. Being in the same room and sleeping so close with sick mummy is no good for her. Pray that mummy and daughter will recover totally from this "package".

[Article] Don't Sleep Late! Don't Skip Breakfast!

Good rest and sound sleep is very important... if u don't sleep well, the toxic in your body will accumulate... affecting your health and your mood...

The main causes of liver damage are:
1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are the main cause.
2. Not urinating in the morning.
3. Too much eating.
4. Skipping breakfast.
5. Consuming too much medication.
6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.
7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.
8. Consuming overly done foods also add to the burden of liver. Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.

We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our body to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to 'schedule' because:

Evening at 9 - 11pm : is the time for eliminating unnecessary/ toxic chemicals (de-toxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a negative impact on her health.

Evening at 11pm - 1am : The de-toxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state. Early morning 1 - 3am : de-toxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 3 - 5am : de-toxification in the lungs. Therefore there will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the de-toxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.

Morning 5 - 7am : de-toxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.

Morning 7 - 9am : Absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast should be earlier, before 6:30am, for those who are sick. Breakfast before 7:30am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to eat breakfast late until 9 -10am rather than no meal at all. Sleeping so late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to 4am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood.

Therefore, have a good sleep, don't sleep late... and don't skip breakfast!

Sore throat, cough, flu

Last week, I developed a sore throat - consequence of drinking less water the night before. I felt it coming but ignored it and went straight to bed. (sigh...)

This soreness became a cough during the weekend. A mild one i'd say... Yesterday morning (which i meant wee hours in the morning) the cough became worst. I took cough syrup after breakfast, which was a totally bad idea for me as i became so drowsy that i couldn't work at all. My eyes were tired. I wanted to take a short siesta but my mind was active... (double sigh...)

Felt better after lunch. Decided to continue on with jazzercise in the evening, which i did, and i felt good. Drank more water than usual as i couldnt get myself dehydrated further. The question was... to take mc or not to take for the next day. Since i felt better, i told hubby - no need to see doctor. My sleep got interupted as i kept coughing and even woke up at 2.30am to throw up some phlegm. Couldnt sleep for awhile, so... again, another tired morning today. (tripple sigh...)

This morning, besides the sorethroat and cough, my nose is starting to run... (sigh, sigh, sigh, sigh!)

An evening at the playground

Thanks to CK for the photos taken... and of course to both CK & SP for taking care of Sarah in the playground while both hubby & I are still on the way back from office, probably stuck in the traffic jam.

Due to work and mainly due to such a distant to travel back home everyday, we don't actually see daylight the moment we reach home. It's always been my desire to be able to bring Sarah out to see the nature. Even on weekends, when we actually do go out, it would mean out from the house, and into the car we go.... and then shop shop shop! :p

Well, that would change soon. We've been indoors most times. Surely, Sarah would enjoy the beauty of nature. Need to make time to explore what's there outside! :)

I'm glad to see the smile she had on her face when she was out playing at the nearby playground. She's really happy to be out... to be free!!! :p

Check out her cheeky smile while on the see-saw... :)

[+video] "shuuu..........." - Part2

New transformer toy.... it's not really new in the market though...

And yet another ingenious thing she thought of... this is another form of a shoe to her. She would wear a ring on each feet and walk... like wearing high heels. So funny.... LOL!

"Shuuu..." has really become a part of her. Sometimes I wonder what goes through our little girl's mind when she sees the things around her. Anything can be transformed into shoes... so it seemed. :)

Mother's Day Celebration 2009

As always, something that goes hand in hand with any celebration - FOOD FOOD FOOD!

This year, we decided to go back to Melaka to celebrate mum's day. Past years and for many years, we celebrated it a week or two before.

We went to Seoul Garden for a buffet dinner on Saturday. Sarah as usual couldn't sit still. Thank God it was very spacious outside Seoul Garden in Mahkota Parade. So after having 80% of our stomachs filled, the adults kinda took turns to take care of her while she was busy running about.

Coming back from Melaka on Sunday evening, we celebrated the day with dinner at Restaurant Sim Set You Fook in Taman Mutiara, Cheras with my in-laws.

What else took place during my short visit in Melaka? Well, we visited my grandma on Saturday morning. It wasn't a planned thing but I did wish to visit her when I'm back. When I spoke to Mum days before, she mentioned that grandma had a fall. When old people fall, that's really no joke. Months ago, grandma fell too and knocked her head! She was then rushed to the hospital to be treated as I heard there was bleeding in her head. :( She's not feeling well and needed people around her to take care of her. I know it's not easy being in her shoe, and being in the shoe of those around her is not easy too. Such sacrifice... such unspeakable love...

Mum & sis were planning to go there on Saturday morning. I joined them together with Sarah. Grandma is now sick in bed. Due to old age, she finds it difficult to move about and do many things. She seems weak and she lost her balance quite easily too. Mum & her siblings take turns to take care of her - change her, clean her, feed her, etc. Sis drives Mum to grandma's house every weekend. It was a sacrifice of time, energy, money.

On this Mother's Day, i would like to especially dedicate this post to my grandma. May the Lord bless her with better health, and most importantly, joy, peace, love & hope. I pray for an extraordinary strength to come upon her. Take away every discouragements and hurts. May Your guardian angels surround her and Your joy to be made clear in her spirit... in her heart. Bless her O Lord, in Jesus' name i pray - Amen!

For Mum, thank you for all the love you've shown to go the extra mile in taking care of grandma and everyone of us. You made the house a home. Thank you for your sacrifices, beyond words could express. I pray for God's shower of blessings to be poured down and overflow your humble cup. I pray for health to increase and wealth in abundance. I pray for joy & peace & everything else that you deserve. God loves you, Mum & we love you too.

For Sis, thank you for your sacrifices - in giving your time, energy, money - even the little that you have left for yourself, you gave it away. You saw the need and you met the need. For this, God will surely bless you much much more in return. Thank you for everything you've done. God appreciate that and He loves, and so do we!

Happy Mother's Day!

A Tribute to Mothers!

Blessed Mummy's Day to all Mums!
She is... a wife, a mother, a home maker, counselor, mentor, peace maker, income earner, investor, educator, driver, cheer leader.... looks like there is no end to the list!

God bless all the mothers for their wonderful roles played!

"shuuu..........."

Yes, i think for now, this is Sarah's favourite word!
It's not just her favourite word, but her favourite "toy"!

MIL brought out some pairs of cousin kor-kor Ivan's old sandals. Sarah's been quite possessive over them. Seemed like her treasured possession! She sometimes walk around the house with the sandals. Actually, she's getting pretty good at it! :p

Before this, she loves playing with MIL's house slippers. Even while shopping, she will say "shuu!" every time we pass by the shoe shop or shoe dept. Once in Tesco, i wanted to get her a pair of sandals. Hmm... no size for her, but she insisted of getting down from the shopping trolley to try on any shoe that she could get her hands on. It was rather difficult to distract her away from there. Oh boy... then again at home, if she's really "into IT", it is soooooo hard (she would sometimes yell & cry) to take it away from her so that I could continue on with wiping her and getting her ready for bedtime!

[Story] Isaiah 65:24 - Before they call, I will answer

(A truly beautiful testimony of God's love for His children..... )
This story was written by a doctor who worked in South Africa .
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One night I had worked hard to help a mother in the labor ward; but in spite of all we could do, she died leaving us with a tiny premature baby and a crying two-year-old daughter. We would have difficulty keeping the baby alive; as we had no incubator (we had no electricity to run an incubator).

We also had no special feeding facilities. Although we lived on the equator, nights were often chilly with treacherous drafts. One student midwife went for the box we had for such babies and the cotton wool that the baby would be wrapped in.

Another went to stoke up the fire and fill a hot water bottle. She came back shortly in distress to tell me that in filling the bottle, it had burst (rubber perishes easily in tropical climates). 'And it is our last hot water bottle!' she exclaimed.. As in the West, it is no good crying over spilled milk so in Central Africa it might be considered no good crying over burst water bottles. They do not grow on trees, and there are no drugstores down forest pathways.

'All right,' I said, 'put the baby as near the fire as you safely can, and sleep between the baby and the door to keep it free from drafts. Your job is to keep the baby warm.'

The following noon, as I did most days, I went to have prayers with any of the orphanage children who chose to gather with me. I gave the youngsters various suggestions of things to pray about and told them about the tiny baby. I explained our problem about keeping the baby warm enough, mentioning the hot water bottle, and that the baby could so easily die if it got chills. I also told them of the two-year-old sister, crying because her mother had died.

During prayer time, one ten-year old girl, Ruth, prayed with the usual blunt conciseness of our African children. 'Please, God' she prayed, 'send us a water bottle. It'll be no good tomorrow, God, as the baby will be dead, so please send it this afternoon.' While I gasped inwardly at the audacity of the prayer, she added, 'And while You are about it, would You please send a dolly for the little girl so she'll know You really love her?'

As often with children's prayers, I was put on the spot. Could I honestly say, 'Amen'? I just did not believe that God could do this. Oh, yes, I know that He can do everything, the Bible says so. But there are limits, aren't there? The only way God could answer this particular prayer would be by sending me a parcel from homeland. I had been in Africa for almost four years at that time, and I had never, ever received a parcel from home.
Anyway, if anyone did send me a parcel, who would put in a hot water bottle? I lived on the equator! Halfway through the afternoon, while I was teaching in the nurses' training school, a message was sent that there was a car at my front door..

By the time I reached home, the car had gone, but there, on the veranda, was a large twenty-two pound parcel. I felt tears pricking my eyes.. I could not open the parcel alone, so I sent for the orphanage children. Together we pulled off the string, carefully undoing each knot. We folded the paper, taking care not to tear it unduly. Excitement was mounting. Some thirty or forty pairs of eyes were focused on the large cardboard box. From the top, I lifted out brightly colored, knitted jerseys. Eyes sparkled as I gave them out. Then there were the knitted bandages for the leprosy patients, and the children looked a little bored. Then came a box of mixed raisins and sultanas - that would make a batch of buns for the weekend. Then, as I put my hand in again, I felt the.....could it really be? I grasped it and pulled it out - yes, a brand-new, rubber hot water bottle. I cried. I had not asked God to send it; I had not truly believed that He could..
Ruth was in the front row of the children. She rushed forward, crying out, 'If God has sent the bottle, He must have sent the dolly too!' Rummaging down to the bottom of the box, she pulled out the small, beautifully dressed dolly. Her eyes shone! She had never doubted! Looking up at me, she asked: 'Can I go over with you and give this dolly to that little girl, so she'll know that Jesus really loves her?'

That parcel had been on the way for five whole months. Packed up by my former Sunday school class, whose leader had heard and obeyed God's prompting to send a hot water bottle, even to the equator. And one of the girls had put in a dolly for an African child - five month s before, in answer to the believing prayer of a ten-year-old to bring it 'that afternoon'.

'Before they call, I will answer' (Isaiah 65:24).

[+video] Sarah and her books (at Month 13)

She knew where her books are kept. So, off she went to the book shelve and get her books.

Where's the frog? Where's the flower? Where's the tiger? Where's the bird? LOL! She flipped and flipped and flipped the little book but she couldn't find any of them because they are only found in another book! :p
Hope I didn't get her confused over there... I was a lil sleepy then actually. Kakakaka...

OK... there it is... we got the right book this time... the book with "tiger" & "flower"... :)

Sarah's learning 123.... 10! (at Month 13)

...twoo.... tiii.... faiii.... egg... ten!!!!

Recently, Sarah's numbers vocab has increased!
We will start with "one".... and she will continue on with the rest. We will "fill in the blanks" - those that she doesnt know yet.

But yes, she knows that after "four" is "five", after "seven" is "eight", and after "nine" is "ten"!

Way to go, Sarah! Let's have more fun in the coming days with numbers, ya?! :)

I had the strangest dream!!!

Well... strange indeed, besides getting chased by a rat as big as a 2-storey house and dinosaurs and whatnot... :p

I got the highest vote to be elected for the next President of the United States of America!!!!!! LOL! It was such a tough "job". In my dream, i saw my picture on a banner - VOTE FOR RACHEL! I looked good! kekeke... So smart & confident, blablabla... I thought of just contesting for it and lo and behold, I actually won! I got the most votes! LOL! I was told to prepare a speech during the inauguration! I was in deeeeeeeep thoughts. I was very stressed! LOL! At the same time, I was trying to chase Sarah (she was running and yes, the time of that year seem to be the present & not something of the future! :p) And so... it was like a very hectic moment of my life!! I became the President of the United States! Hello??! Me? A politician??? Me? Leading the most powerful country in this world??? That was really the stangest dream I ever had!

I almost couldnt wake up the next morning. The dream seemed like a whole episode of my life and when I actually woke up the next morning, I felt very very very tired & stress! Oh boy... I think i felt a lil of what Obama is going through now. Kekeke!

OK... time to take a short nap before work begins! :)

"I love U... Muaaah!"

Last weekend, I started teaching Sarah to utter the 3 words + a kiss.

Mummy: I....
Sarah: I....
Mummy: Love...
Sarah: Err....
Mummy: You!
Sarah: Tom... MUAHHH!!!
Mummy: I love You!
Sarah: MUAHHH!!!! :)

Yes, she only masters the kiss (for now). Her kiss is pretty loud! Sometimes she also drags her "Mmm" Hehehe... Well, her "I" is pretty clear too. Now yet to master the other two words! LOL! :D

Rest & Relax b4 Sleep! :)

Bedtime for Sarah & I is always something I look forward to. Besides the sleep & getting all charged-up for another new day, i always look forward to playing with her just before the sleep.

I always believe that putting a smile on our faces before sleeping will ensure us good rest and sweet dreams. Hehehe...

Hubby usually comes in about half an hour to an hour after us. So that would mean playtime for Sarah & I for at least 15-20 minutes before "cooling down period" and then sleep (unless it's really late, then we'll skip some stuff :p). Though it's a short time, personally I find it rather fulfilling as it is a bonding moment between mummy & child. It's TLC time... story-telling time (not mastering it yet :p)... then teaching her kissing & hugging & laughing... then a sing-a-long... then it's prayer time. Most times, it's just rest & relax. I will always encourage her to laugh & keep a smile on her face before she sleeps. She does the same to me when she just copies what I do and that literally makes me laugh so much that she laughs together too! :)

Well, when sleeping time is such a wonderful time, Sarah & I always look forward to it. Hmm... recalling back... no wonder Sarah cant wait to go up for bedtime almost every night. She loves walking up the stairs with me, waving and saying "Bai Bai" or "Nite Nite" to everyone downstairs. :)

Tuesday, May 5, 2009

"Ah Miiiiii!!!!!!!"

"Ah Miiiiiiii!"

"Miii Miiiiiii!!!"

"Meh Miiiiii!!!!!"

Hehehe... that's how Sarah calls me now... :)
Yeah, finally I can hear her calling me "Mummy" (however different it may sound). I heard from MIL that since months ago she did say "mummy", but very very very rarely - and that also, only when she imitated J-J Reanne.

Hmm... I didn't quite understand why was it so hard for her to call me this when she can imitate almost anything else... hmm... but anyways, i'm happy now that she's calling me "Mummy"... FINALLY!!! :D

A time to celebrate.... "MOTHER'S DAY!" kakakakaka!
